Hårdare straff för Cecilie Hatteland efter upprepade spörapp på tävling

Under Falsterbo Horse Show 2018, Nations Cup, så var Cecilie Hatteland en av 4 ryttare som ingick i det norska laget. Nations Cup rids i flera omgångar och under omgång 1 när Cecilie red så rappade hon till sin häst Alex upprepade gånger i en 3-kombination medan hon höll tyglarna i en enhandsfattning. Det syntes tydligt att hästen inte fick ett bra ingångsläge till kombinationen och det förtjänade definitivt inte att bli piskad på det sättet! Både publik på plats, tv-tittare och kommentatorer reagerade över hennes sätt att behandla hästen. Länk till ett klipp från ena rundan Ägare till klippet: Elin Wessberg.

Så var det då dags för omgång 2 och döm om förvåning när samma sak händer igen i samma kombination och den blir ännu värre piskad än gången innan! Hästen hade inte en chans att klara av hindren men blev ändå straffad för det. Av någon anledning så blev inte Cecilies ritt avblåst efter den händelsen utan hon fortsatte banan runt däremot blev hon omedelbart efteråt inkallad till domarbåset där hon blev tilldelad en muntlig varning!

Efter händelserna så gick hon ut offentligt och bad om ursäkt samt skyllde det på att hon var svag i benet efter en fraktur, nu finns det bevis på att hon har behandlat hästen på samma sätt tidigare år utan att hon innan hade varit skadad så detta verkar vara ett normaliserat beteende hos henne.

Med denna insamling vill vi att hon ska få ett hårdare straff än bara en varning! Detta beteende är oacceptabelt, som ryttare på denna nivå ska man veta bättre och föregå med gott exempel för den yngre generationen! 

Får vi in tillräckligt med underskrifter så kommer denna insamling att vidarebefordras till FEI, Norges Rytterforbund samt Svenska Ridsportförbundet. Om det bör skickas till någon mer instans så skriv gärna det i kommentaren, tack!

Tillägg #1: Nya uppgifter har framkommit, Cecilie Hatteland har under år 2013 tilldelats yellow card för "Abuse of horse", länk till dokumentet. Detta är ytterligare ett bevis på att hon inte har något med hästar att göra!

ENGLISH version of the text

During Falsterbo Horse Show 2018, Nations Cup, Cecilie Hatteland was one of the 4 riders in the Norwegian team. In round one, Cecilie whipped her horse Alex repeatedly while attempting jumps in a 3-combination, holding the reins in one hand. It was clear that the horse did not get a good start into the combination and did not deserve to be whipped like that!

In the second round, in the same combination, she whipped the horse even harder! The horse had no possibility to go clear of the obstacles but was still punished! For some reason, Cecilie was allowed to finish the round but was called to the judges, who only issued a verbal warning!

After the event she publicly apologized, blaming a weakness in her leg, due to a previous fracture. However, there is evidence of her mistreating the horse earlier during the year, before her injury, so this seems to be a normal behavior. Her explanation is in any case not acceptable, there are no excuses for animal cruelty.

With this petition, we request Cecilie receive a harder punishment than a verbal warning. This behavior is unacceptable. As a rider on this level, you should know better and be a good example for future generations of riders.

If the petition receives enough signatures it will be sent to FEI, Norges Rytterforbund and Svenska Ridsportförbundet. If you feel that it should be presented to any other organization please leave a comment!

Amendment #1: According to new information Cecilie Hatteland was, in 2013, given a yellow card for "Abuse of horse", Link to the document.
This is yet another indication that she should not be allowed to handle horses.
