I’ve grown up recognizing my country as a democratic country, and nothing Chinese government has done is like us. Taiwan is a beautiful island country and people here are wonderful and friendly, mostly importantly, people on this island have the right to vote, to elect the person who we believe to be the right person to be in charge. Three years ago I finally reach the age of twenty which is the legal age to vote. I didn’t vote for anybody, it was my choice not to, but now I think about it, regardless of how I’m neglected about Taiwanese polictics, and yet it’s my choice to be neglected. Across the strait, there’s a country that shares the similar culture as us, we two speak the same language, celebrating similar festivals; however the destiny of the people on two places are distinctly different. No words can describe how grieved I am when I see democratic fighters like Liu Xiao Bo, who died in the prison due to lack medical assistance or not being treated in a humane way. If one day China becomes the tyrant of world, this unhumane treatment will only grow bigger and bigger. Here I file my petition, and hoping Swedish people will see my message, I want to show Swedishs that Taiwanese people care about our position across the global, we stopped to fight only because a lot of people don’t even dare to dream. But in Sweden, I believe people there are very discerning to decide what is justice for Taiwanses people. And hopefully one day, more and more people can hear voices from Taiwan, that we are an independent country, and living under democratic systems!

I'm a Taiwanese. I know there are still many difficult issues not soluted so that our country is still called Republic of China. But WE ARE TAIWAN, not a part of PRC, never.
I know Sweden had do something heroic for Finland to holdout aggressor during WWII. Taiwan need to holdout, too.
